GREATER MIAMI AND MIAMI BEACH CELEBRATES PRIDE MONTH
Miami Beach Classical Music Festival's
Pride Concert
This year's Pride festivities began with Miami Beach Classical Music Festival's Miami Beach Pride Concert, presented in partnership with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) and Miami Beach Pride. Held on May 31 and June 1, the event featured a talented lineup of performers and transformed the historic façade of the iconic Tides South Beach into a canvas of stunning visual projections. Performances included international DJs and music producers La Trice Perry and Eliad Cohen, setting the tone for cultural programming, entertainment and community pride.
“Pride
Month is not only a celebration but a reflection of our community's deep
commitment to uplifting and celebrating the LGBTQ community,” said David
Whitaker, president and CEO of the GMCVB. “We are proud to create inclusive
experiences for residents and visitors alike through signature events like the
Miami Beach Pride Concert and the collaborative efforts of our partners.”
Rainbow Spring
From
March through June, Greater Miami and Miami Beach presents Rainbow Spring, a season-long celebration of LGBTQ
Pride. Now in its third year, the GMCVB-led initiative includes exclusive
travel offers, curated experiences and signature events such as the Winter Party Festival, Miami Beach Pride, the OUTshine Film Festival and SweetHeat Miami. With expanded longtime partner
Expedia, Rainbow Spring continues to position Greater Miami and Miami Beach as
a leading destination for LGBTQ travelers.
Wynwood Pride
Returning
for its sixth year, Wynwood Pride has established itself as a
marquee event in support of the LGBTQ community. Since its debut, which drew
more than 135 artists and 50,000 attendees, the multi-day celebration has
continued to grow in scope, energy and community impact. This year's event
kicked off on June 1 with Solar Flair, a rooftop pool party set above the street art at Arlo Wynwood. The event featured live DJ sets and drag
performances by Gia Gunn of RuPaul's Drag Race, FKA
Twink (who was crowned Miss Wynwood Pride 2024) and Persephone Von Lips.
