Year after year, Las Vegas continues to provide new, one-of-a-kind experiences. Whether it's world-class dining or unforgettable production shows and exciting live entertainment, Vegas routinely delivers the latest and greatest.
Events
There are always anticipated events on the horizon in Las Vegas, as the destination hosts several marquee sports, entertainment and dining events throughout the year.
Super Bowl LVIII will take place at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 11, marking the first time Las Vegas and the state of Nevada will welcome football's most anticipated game. Further solidifying the destination as the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World, the event will be surrounded by several NFL-sanctioned events and top-notch entertainment.
National Rugby League's Telstra Premiership will kick off at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, March 2, marking the first time the Australian league will play on American soil. The double-header event features matches between the Sea Eagles and the Rabbitohs, and the Roosters and the Broncos.
The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2024 Awards will be hosted on Wednesday, June 5 in the destination. Harnessing the glitz, glamour and buzzing culinary credentials of Las Vegas, this marks the first time the world-renowned celebration will be held in the destination. The event is considered one of the most important annual gatherings of chefs, restaurateurs, media and culinary icons in the gastronomic calendar.
Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix returns for a second year from Thursday, Nov. 21 through Saturday, Nov. 23. The race is held on the streets of Las Vegas, with grandstands and unique viewing experiences lining the Las Vegas Strip. The event is already confirmed to take place in November 2025, and organizers hope to make it a permanent annual event.
Accommodations
New resorts continue to pop up in the destination, while existing properties continue to refresh with multimillion-dollar renovations.
Queen Las Vegas, a boutique hotel, restaurant, gaming lounge and nightclub, will begin hotel operations in 2024 as the only LGBTQ+ property on the Strip.
Durango
Casino & Resort opened in the southwest valley on
Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, with over 200 rooms and 15 restaurants, including four
original concepts and a food hall.
Las Vegas has proven itself as a global culinary powerhouse, as celebrity chefs and iconic brands continue to open in the destination. The dining scene is incredibly diverse and there are always new places to experience.
Caspian's Caviar & Cocktails will open this spring at Caesars
Palace. From Clique Hospitality, the firm behind
Las Vegas hot spots such as The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails and Gatsby's
Cocktail Lounge, the restaurant will
feature an exceptional collection of caviar, imaginative cocktails and curated
champagne and vodka selections.
Pinky's by Vanderpump will open this summer at Flamingo Las Vegas. From former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump, the restaurant will offer distinctive dishes and statement cocktails. Set right on the Las Vegas Strip, the 7,000-square-foot space will feature Vanderpump's signature design aesthetic with a nod to the Flamingo's vibrant history.
Cantina Contramar will open in 2024 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. From celebrated chef Gabriela Cámara, the restaurant will feature a diverse menu of traditional Mexican fare, highlighted by the chef's signature seafood dishes.
Orla opened Tuesday, Jan. 16 at Mandalay
Bay Resort & Casino. From celebrity chef Michael Mina, who operates
several other restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip, the restaurant is
inspired by the Mediterranean's lively
markets and bazaars.
Ole
Red opened
in mid-January at the Grand Bazaar Shops at Horseshoe
Las Vegas. From
country music superstar Blake Shelton, the
bar, restaurant and live music venue is the largest of the established brand's
locations at 27,000 square feet.
Brasserie B opened in early January 2024 at Caesars
Palace. From celebrity chef and Food Network fixture Bobby
Flay, who operates several other restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip. Offering an intersection of classic French
cuisine and the chef's signature culinary touches, the
175-seat restaurant features design details such as a Parisian
storefront-inspired façade, a 20-seat bar and unique accents like blown glass
chandeliers.
The Chef Truck opened in mid-December 2023 at Park
MGM. Chef Roy Choi, who operates Best Friend at the
same resort, and writer/director/actor Jon Favreau have joined forces for this
restaurant. The Chef Truck brings to life the culinary friendship that began
with the hit movie Chef and continued
in the popular Netflix series The Chef Show. At this
venue, fans can sink their teeth into the dishes they've seen Choi and Favreau
make together.
Fontainebleau
Las Vegas debuted
in December 2023 with a world-class collection of 36 first-to-market
restaurants and bars. The culinary collection features restaurants
from acclaimed chefs and restaurateurs alongside original Fontainebleau concepts. Notable
restaurants include Papi Steak from restaurateur David Grutman, Washing Potato
from restaurateur Alan Yau, Mother Wolf from chef Evan Funke, and Capon's
Burgers Fries & Shakes by chef Josh Capon. Original Fontainebleau concepts include Don's
Prime, a steakhouse; La Côte, a French Riviera-inspired restaurant; and Vida,
an American bistro.
LPM
Restaurant & Bar opened
in late November 2023 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The ninth
location of the established brand—and only the second in the U.S.—the restaurant features French Riviera-inspired
cuisine, a specialty cocktail menu honoring French writer Jean Cocteau, a
collection of rosés and an indoor-outdoor atmosphere.
Peter Luger Steak House opened in mid-October 2023 at Caesars Palace. The iconic brand's first domestic expansion in over 60 years is the only U.S. location outside New York state. In operation since 1887, Peter Luger is known for its German beer hall setting, dry-aging process and old-world charm.
Entertainment
The entertainment calendar in Las Vegas
stays jam-packed all year long with residencies from superstar acts,
spectacular production shows and concerts from legendary comedians.
Phish will
be the second act to take the stage at the instantly world-renown Sphere. Shows will take place from
Thursday, April 18 through Sunday,
April 21.
Maroon 5 will return to Dolby Live at Park
MGM for another stint of its M5LV residency, with shows
running on select dates from Friday, May 17 through Saturday, Oct. 12.
Pinky Ring will open at Bellagio Resort & Casino in
early 2024. From
superstar Bruno Mars, the
one-of-a-kind cocktail lounge and jazz bar will
be located on the casino floor and feature
moody lighting, live music, DJs spinning vinyl, a specialty bar program and
best-in-class audio.
DiscoShow will open in summer 2024 at The
LINQ Hotel + Experience. From Spiegelworld, the creative firm behind Las
Vegas shows Absinthe, OPM and The Atomic Saloon Show, the experience is a venue
and production show in one. It will feature a transformative live entertainment
space, bars and a diner.
LIV Las Vegas opened at Fontainebleau Las Vegas in
December 2023 as the centerpiece of the resort's nightlife
experience. Designed by David Rockwell and Rockwell Group,
the 50,000-square foot venue is an extension of the original LIV at
Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Renowned
house music producer John Summit was announced as its first resident performer,
with other artists to perform at the space including Tiësto and Metro Boomin.
Voltaire
Belle de Nuit opened
on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. Blurring
the lines between an intimate club, concert, and non-stop entertainment venue,
Voltaire currently features residencies from pop sensations Kylie Minogue
(running through May) and Christina Aguilera (running through March).
Sphere opened
in September 2023 behind The
Venetian Resort Las Vegas. The
immersive entertainment venue, now the largest spherical structure in the
world, debuted with a residency from legendary rock band U2, which continues to
play shows through February.
The Sphere Experience is an attraction at the Sphere featuring a
technology-driven tour through the venue and a screening of famed filmmaker
Darren Aronofsky's Postcard from Earth, a
specially commissioned immersive film that takes advantage of Sphere's
capabilities.
Attractions
Las Vegas has evolved into more than
just a dining and entertainment destination. From history to the
out-of-this-world, Vegas offers an attraction for every visitor.
Play
Playground opened
Thursday, Jan. 18 at Luxor Hotel & Casino. The
15,000 square-foot interactive Playground features more than 20
larger-than-life nostalgic games, two bars, VIP mezzanines and private event
spaces.
Particle
Ink will
open at Luxor Hotel & Casino on
Thursday, March 14. A partnership between Kaleidoco and MGM Resorts
International, the venue comes after the initial success of Particle
Ink's 2022 engagement in downtown Las Vegas, which was extended several times
due to demand. The attraction offers two immersive experiences
featuring live performance, acrobatics and street dance as well as interactive
and projection-mapped technology.
Atomic Golf will open at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower in
Quarter 1 of 2024. The golf and entertainment experience will span
92,000 square feet and feature more than 100 hitting bays, four bars, meeting
space and a 12,000-square-foot Astrocade.
Swingers
Las Vegas will
open at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in
2024. The miniature golf venue will span 40,000 square
feet and feature three levels of putt-putt play, caddie cocktail servers and
more.
ARTE MUSEUM opened in November 2023 at 63 Las Vegas. The museum is a uniquely immersive exhibition
that reinterprets various aspects of nature and art as new media artworks.
Blending the lines between reality,
fantasy and hyper-reality by using digital technology, viewers will find
themselves at the base of towering waterfalls and strolling beaches as they
admire the aurora borealis.
Paradox
Museum opened
in June 2023 on the Las Vegas Strip. The
museum is a space of ultimate creativity and questioning and is a must-see,
must-experience destination for all ages.
The
Punk Rock Museum opened
Saturday, April 1, 2023, in
Downtown Las Vegas. The institution houses the world's most expansive,
inclusive, and intimate display of punk rock artifacts, including photos,
handwritten lyrics, clothing, instruments and artwork. The space also
features a wedding chapel, the Triple Down bar and a tattoo parlor called “The
Shop.”
